Do not preoccupy!!
Besides of thanking God these posts are finally over, I want to make clear that I think identically to Pascal. In a letter to Mlle de Roannez, he says that "the past should not preocupy us... the future has nothing to do with us and perhaps we might never reach it... and the present is the only time that is truly ours... we are always intent on living in the future and never on living on now" I agree with all of these statements, they show the manner people makes use of time and what we commonly decide to do with what we could say are the stages of time. In the first part Pascal talks about how the past should not preocupy us, as the word signify the past should not guide the situations that haven't happened yet and we should not occupy on things that haven't take place, past is history and nothing we can do about it, what is done is done end of the point. Next he says that future has nothing to do with us and I believe this is right because we'll never know when we are going to die, and this opens the panorama to casualties and outcomes that are not manageable. Then Pascal says that the only time that is truly ours is present; this is the time we can act, we can express what we want and we can concrete our ideas, this is the time of action, not the past or the future. At last he says that we are always intent to live on the future, and I believe this relates to some deep wishes of humanity like the one of living forever, like a God.

I totally agree with you Carlos, the end of this posting season is the best thing that has happened in weeks. Also, I agree with your liking on Pascal's thoughts but would like to remind you that past and future are still important at some level. We should remember what has happened in the past so that we can know what to do and what not to do in the present. At the same time, we should always look towards the future so that we can be prepared when it comes, IF it comes ofcourse.
ResponderEliminarI totally agree with you and Pascal CARLOS. The future we might never reach it and the past also, but what we are living is the present and that's the only thing that should matter to us. The present is very important because it is what it affect us directly. Also remember that the past is very important to have knowledge of it, so you can predict what is going to happend in the future and learn from thte mistaker you have done in the past, so you don't reapet them again
ResponderEliminarCarlos, I clearly like how you compare your thoughts with Pascal and also I like that blogs are finally over. The reason which I enjoyed reading your post was that the comparison was escelent because it is a totally complete thought that only says what is true because the past is already done and we can't change it, and the future is something that we may never get through because we don'know when your life is going to be over.
ResponderEliminarCarlos! I think exactly like you by thanking God this posts are finnaly over! And I also want to tell that I like your post. It has some ideas as mine like what Pascal says, and I completely agree that past has passed, there's nothing we can do to change it, so regret nothing, the only thing we can do is making our present worth it and make it a good and nice past, and don't ever worry about future, there's nothing we can do to change it because we'll never know what it's about!
ResponderEliminarCarlos i agree with you and Pascal's idea about time but i also think that even if we agree with this quote we don't actually live it, we will always thinks of the future even if we don't reach it will think about someone else's future. It can be in our persons having this ideas that we don't actually want to have.
