People in ancient times have argued about the creation of the universe and everything that composes it. Some people even nowadays, believe that the universe was the creation of God. But to believe in what has already been reestablished before is irrelevant. The advantage of philosophical ideas over mythical ideas is that while philosophizing, we think by ourselves, we come with our own ideas of how things were created. In the other hand mythical ideas are already been said and established, so the ones who believe in them really don’t bother in thinking by themselves, but they only believe what people in the past have said.
Mythical ideas can’t be argued, they are the way they are and like it or not, they will remain the same. That’s why I think mythology is a waste of time, I mean, if I can’t even question it, why do I would like to believe in it? Maybe we never get to a straight answer in philosophy about how the universe was created, but instead of believing what other have told us, we need to think by ourselves. Mythological ideas are personal, they are related to some god but philosophical ideas are impersonal, even though someone said the idea, it doesn’t relate to the person who said it.
To conclude I will like to state my final opinion in simpler words, philosophical ideas will always have an advantage over mythological ideas. Philosophy makes us think, experience and question the universe, something mythology doesn’t allow you to do.
I definitely agree with Erick because philosophical ideas are ideas that people have been thinking a lot to get an answer. Philosophical ideas will always have a greast advantage over mythological because philosophical are ideas studied by GREAT THINKERS and people who think and question everything. Philosophers are people that don't feel like it's enough just to get an answer. They need to prove they are correct and make ideas for everyone to think about.
ResponderEliminarI agree with you Erick because I think that philosophical ideas have an advantage over mythical ideas, because philosophical ideas are the ones that came from philosophers and can be questioned and be able to believe it or not, if you are not agree with it is fine you should fin another answer to the question but in the other hand mythical ideas seem to me as bad ideas because we have to accept them just as they are, we cannot argue about them, but what if you are not agree with the myth, why you have to accept it?, That’s a good point to notice.
ResponderEliminarI agree with you Erick, it is not quite interesting to accept ideas without thinking and even reasoning about it, and of course ask questions… As you said, it is why Philosophical ideas have an advantage over Mythical ideas, because you think and come to a conclusion, or just ask question by yourself. Myths are more just to have some fun hearing them, not believing and accepting them as a truth without thinking. Good points in your post Erick.
